RBMS Partner José Ricardo Gonçalves was invited to participate as a speaker at the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Integrity Conference ‘Waves of Change’, organised by European Aquatics held on 9 October in Baku, Azerbaijan.
As part of the European Aquatics Congress programme, this conference brought together European Aquatics Federations, experts and international guests to promote initiatives, share best practice and discuss solutions that strengthen the values of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Integrity in aquatic sports and sport in general.
According to José Ricardo Gonçalves, who is the panellist on the session dedicated to the topic of ‘Integrity in Sport’: “It is a great honour to have been invited by the European Aquatics to participate in the Waves of Change DEI & Integrity Conference, in Baku, having the opportunity to contribute to this important discussion and to exchange views on Sport integrity.
The challenge is to move from compliance on paper to integrity in practice — through ethical leadership, accountability, transparency, education and, above all, a genuine culture of integrity.
My sincere thanks to the European Aquatics and its President António Silva, for this invitation and for its exemplary commitment to promoting integrity, good governance and trust in sport.“
