Inês Castelo Branco speaker at the Labour 2030 Congress

RBMS Associate Lawyer Inês Castelo Branco participated as a speaker at the Labour 2030 Congress, which took place at Alfândega do Porto on 11 and 12 September.

Inês Castelo Branco’s speech took place on the first day of the Congress and focused on one of the key issues in current Labour Law – ‘Mental Health at Work – Harassment. (Un)protection of the harassed?

In this presentation, which was part of the ‘Mental Health at Work’ panel, Inês Castelo Branco addressed the legal concept of harassment, its forms, prevention and combating measures/means of protection and reaction for the harassed, and proposed legislative changes to strengthen the protection of the harassed. In her conclusions, Inês Castelo Branco points to a problem of effectiveness in the application of the law, arguing that combating harassment requires not only a robust legal and procedural framework, but also greater sensitivity on the part of all stakeholders, as well as the need for training.

RBMS Labour Department partners Madalena Januário and José Ricardo Gonçalves also attended this 3rd edition of Labour 2030.
