In the week that marked the start of a new academic year, RBMS Partner José Ricardo Gonçalves participated as a speaker at two important events on Sports Law.
At the invitation of the National Council of Law Students, on 18 September José Ricardo Gonçalves attended the Sports Law Event held at the Lusófona University of Lisbon, joining other professionals in the sector to discuss the topic ‘Dispute Resolution in Sport’.
On 19 September, José Ricardo Gonçalves took part in the seminar ‘Sports Law: a Portuguese-Brazilian perspective’, organised by the Law School of the University of Minho. At this event, he addressed the topic ‘Voluntary arbitration and mediation in the Court of Arbitration for Sport’ as part of the panel on ‘Sports Justice: controversial issues’.
His participation in these events, both as a lawyer and as an arbitrator and Vice-President of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, reinforces his recognised expertise and the importance of his contribution to the field of sports law.
