{"id":4173,"date":"2025-09-22T11:35:21","date_gmt":"2025-09-22T11:35:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rbms.pt\/?p=4173"},"modified":"2025-09-22T11:37:34","modified_gmt":"2025-09-22T11:37:34","slug":"jose-ricardo-goncalves-speaker-at-events-on-sports-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rbms.pt\/en\/news\/jose-ricardo-goncalves-speaker-at-events-on-sports-law\/","title":{"rendered":"Jos\u00e9 Ricardo Gon\u00e7alves Speaker at Events on Sports Law"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the week that marked the start of a new academic year, RBMS Partner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rbms.pt\/en\/team\/jose-ricardo-goncalves\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jos\u00e9 Ricardo Gon\u00e7alves<\/a> participated as a speaker at two important events on Sports Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the invitation of the National Council of Law Students, on 18 September <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rbms.pt\/en\/team\/jose-ricardo-goncalves\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jos\u00e9 Ricardo Gon\u00e7alves<\/a> attended the <em>Sports Law Even<\/em>t held at the Lus\u00f3fona University of Lisbon, joining other professionals in the sector to discuss the topic \u2018<em>Dispute Resolution in Sport<\/em>\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On 19 September, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rbms.pt\/en\/team\/jose-ricardo-goncalves\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.rbms.pt\/en\/team\/jose-ricardo-goncalves\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jos\u00e9 Ricardo Gon\u00e7alves<\/a> took part in the seminar \u2018<em>Sports Law: a Portuguese-Brazilian perspective<\/em>\u2019, organised by the Law School of the University of Minho. At this event, he addressed the topic \u2018<em>Voluntary arbitration and mediation in the Court of Arbitration for Sport<\/em>\u2019 as part of the panel on \u2018<em>Sports Justice: controversial issues<\/em>\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His participation in these events, both as a lawyer and as an arbitrator and Vice-President of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, reinforces his recognised expertise and the importance of his contribution to the field of sports law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow aligncenter\" data-autoplay=\"true\" data-delay=\"4\"
